Cigarette & Collection Cards
 Copes Golfers
(one of many varieties of golf)
|
Cigarette & Collection Cards were first traded in France in the middle of the 19th century. Plain unprinted cards previously had been inserted in soft cigarette packs as stiffeners to prevent crushing. Color printed cards evolved and became collectibles, displaying a large variety of subject matter in precise detail. Mounted in multiples of 3, 5, 7, or 10 of a single theme, these reproductions are both colorful and decorative and attract wide interest.
